Challenge 2: Spanish food adjectives

This Spanish challenge is designed to help us vary our vocabulary a bit. I want us to write a brief list or description of your big holiday meal, using a different adjective to describe each type of food e.g. las patatas estaban ricas. It is always good to be expanding our adjective vocabulary beyond bueno and malo, and the technique of writing down something that you actually did (or ate in this case) should help the new words stick in your memory.
If you feel like joining in, write your meal description in the comments below.

  1. Ok, here is my description of my holiday meal in Spanish, using lots of juicy new adjectives that I had to look up in my dictionary.

La comida del día 25 fue riquísima. Comimos un pavo asado sabroso con patatas crujientes. Había coles de Bruselas deliciosas y chirivías caramelizadas. En nuestra casa siempre hay salsa de pan que consiste en pan, leche y especias. Para beber había unas botellas de un vino ligero de Sudáfrica.

What did you have to eat?
